Wheel-thrown Manhole Plate.
While traveling in Korea, I photographed manhole covers to capture each city's unique identity, later transforming these images into 3D-printed stamps for Buncheong-inspired inlaid bowls. Also, by incorporating famous local brands and symbols, I explored Korea's brand-conscious culture, where such status symbols serve as key social signifiers and identitymarkers.
Material: stoneware, white slip, glaze
